Earlier this month IM announced the release of the NEW Left Turn Hand Grippers made specifically for left hand training due to the right-hand wind of the torsion spring.
There's 4 different gripper strengths available with the Trainer, #1, #2, and #3. After receiving all 4 grippers in the mail I rated each gripper and came up with the following results:
Trainer = 54 lbs.
#1 = 75 lbs.
#2 = 107 lbs.
#3 = 151 lbs.
I have attached some pics here for you to view. Notice the torsion springs compared to standard COC grippers and see that the spring is wound the opposite direction.
If you're interested in purchasing these grippers please go here: http://cannonpowerworks.com/collections/ironmind Cannon Power Works is your One Stop Shop for the different brand names of hand grippers and other grip tools and accessories!
Thanks for visiting and Happy Holidays!!!

Strongman Spectacular Seminar by Chris Rider
With only 2 weeks left and just a few openings available be sure and check out what Chris Rider is offering in his seminar for those interested in becoming performing strongmen! Under Chris Rider's coaching and teachings I was able to go from only being able to tear 25 playing cards to tearing 50 playing cards in under 1 month! Not only did I surprise myself but I was blown away at the knowledge Chris possesses at performing and training for feats of strength like card tearing, bending nails and steel bars, twisting horseshoes and much MORE!
Chris Rider is the BEST at what he does! What you will take away from Chris's teachings far surpasses the very modest amount he's asking for those that attend and participate! Basically he's giving away some valuable knowledge for pennies in my estimation!
Check it out here: http://www.coneyislandstrongman.com/
Thanks for your visit and stay Strong!!!

UGLY RUBBER MINI - Review
Here's a few pics of Dennis Roger's NEW Training Tool for card tearer's! The kit comes with 2 Mini Ugly Rubbers, instruction booklet and a nice burlap bag with draw strings to carry all the contents in. I can honestly say that consistent training with these Ugly Rubbers has not only increased my card tearing strength but has really strengthened and toughened my hands and fingers as well! I can only speak from my own experience here but it seems training with these rubbers has a nice carry over to my other forms of grip strength training such as hand grippers and block weights!
If you want to increase your hand and finger strength and get stronger at tearing cards be sure and check out Dennis Roger's Mini Ugly Rubbers here: http://www.dennisrogers.net/ugly-rubber-mini/

Bob Sundin Lifts the #172 Inch Replica DB!!!
Below is a quote and picture directly from Bob Sundin on this monumental lift!!!
HUGE Congrats to Bob on this achievement of which he worked so hard and diligently at accomplishing!!!
Finally lifted the ~172 lb. Thomas Inch Dumbbell in a steady rain. My Moby Dick finally is dead; had to lift both the dumbbell and the mental block created by literally over 1000 failed attempts. Weighed in at less than 174 lbs. this morning (posted previously)Many people I need to thank, but for now will start w/ Roger Steffens, who very kindly gave me the Inch. my friends and training partners James Retarides, Jason Otto and Robert Miller who were integral to my improvement . Counting from my very first attempt it was 2387 days from the start date to the end date, end date included or 6 years, 6 months, 13 days including the end date. Much more and many more to thank later, we have a social engagement and no more time to write now, my apologies!
HUGE Congrats to Bob on this achievement of which he worked so hard and diligently at accomplishing!!!

STRONG ARM TACTICS - Book Review!!!
This is a detailed book review of James Retarides NEW book, Strong Arm Tactics, Training and Technique in Competitive Arm Wrestling! Before getting into my review of this amazing book let me assure you that this book is not written by some amateur or newbie to the sport. James has been involved in competitive arm wrestling for over 2 decades and he's been fortunate enough to see and experience the evolution and transitions between old school era and the current new school era of competitive arm wrestling. In those years of experience there has been a large evolution in techniques and training and James is a master of both! James is a National Champion is 3 different weight classes and has won over 70 professional titles in this ever growing and fast paced sport! Now with that out of the way let's get into meat of this review!
First, the looks and quality of the book are first class! The book is paperback (also sold as an e-book) and it's binding is very well constructed. The pages are thick and obviously made to be used and followed as a reference while one is learning or training for the sport of arm wrestling.
Next, the book is composed of 153 pages filled with helpful tips, explanations and high quality photos to demonstrate what he explains very well in his writing. Just reading the "Table of Contents" tempts one to jump around and learn new things before actually reading the book from front to back. You can do this but I strongly encourage you to first read the book in its entirety and then go back to the sections that interest you or a section that may address your weakness in strength or in technique and then progress in that manner.
The book has something to offer to any level of arm wrestler you may be rather it's beginner, amateur or pro level puller! The techniques described in this book are very detailed and thoroughly explained throughout. My favorite parts of the book have to be the training ideas, tips and strategies that James offers that really excited me the most! As an expert in Grip and grip training I can honestly say that very few exercises get past my radar that I haven't seen or experienced but James had a few surprises up his sleeve when it comes to training exercises to strengthen one's fingers, hands, wrists, forearms and other major body parts involved in arm wrestling! For example, want to develop some serious knuckles up pressure on your set up? Then BUY this book and turn to page 94 and check out these exercise gems! Impressive!
In closing I would to say that there seems to be no stone left uncovered in this book! James covers ALL aspects of training, technique and even the psychological side of the sport! The book starts with the basics and logically progresses to more advanced methods and strategies as one progresses through the book and in their training. For the price of this book and it's contents I honestly don't see how one could possibly go wrong with this purchase! Even if you decided not to give competitive arm wrestling a try you would have gained some valuable insight into how to seriously strengthen your upper body, specially the fingers, hands and wrist areas!

THANKS for your time in reading my review and a Big Thank You to James Retarides for allowing me the opportunity to review this amazingly informative book on the sport of competitive arm wrestling!!!

First Gripper Donation for 2014!
Pictured here is a Alex Gripper from Germany donated by UAE Banker and business man Bader Samir Tayeb from Dubai. He is know as Alawahdi on the GripBoard. Alawahdi is a long time GripBoard member and has a huge interest in grip training, martial arts and bending steel.
I would like to give him a HUGE Thank You for his donation which is the first gripper donated to my Grip Museum for 2014 and the first gripper from Germany added to the collection.
This gripper has very hard plastic handles and are longer than average gripper handles which makes it unique and it has a gold plated torsion spring that is rated at around 45kg. and it feels like it as well. Very nice gripper indeed!
